The new address for Middle East Jewelry Fair is determined

IT’S GAZIANTEP’S TURN FOR THE SHOW ONCE MORE

Start Fair Organization, a strong mark in regional and expertise fairs, and Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers brings the 15th Middle East Gold & Jewelry Fair to Gaziantep once more, one of the star cities of industry and commerce in Turkey, upon the joint demand of the opinion leaders of the sector and the participating firms. The Organization will be held between the 14th and 16th of June 2019, Considering that it is the beginning of the summer season.

Leaving a rough year behind, due to the gold prices and exchange rates, the Turkish jewelry sector will host the second important meeting in Gaziantep this year, which is among the most popular cities that have made a name for itself in jewelry besides its potential for industry and commerce, following İstanbul. One of the first companies that comes to mind when talking about expertise fair organizations in Turkey, Start Fair Organization decided to organize the Middle East Gold & Jewelry Fair that has been organized for 15 years in Gaziantep this year, following Adana, upon the joint demand of the leading names in the sector and the participating firms/brands. Start Fair Organization held a press meeting in Gaziantep to share this breaking news with the public, together with Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers. Start Fair Organization Board Chairman Musa Öztürk, President of Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers Sedat Özdinç, the main sponsors of the fair; Borsa Gold Board Chairman Sabahattin Baş, Cemcem Kuyumculuk Executive Stephan Cemcem and Ardıç Gold Board Chairman Mehmet Ardıç and the President of Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Jewelers Hacı Mustafa Öz and the President of ŞanlıurfaChamber of Jewelers Halil İbrahim Demirkol and the representatives of the magazines in the sector have attended the dinner party hosted in Gaziantep Tennis Club. The President of Kilis Chamber of Jewelers Zafer Bilik; the President of the Mersin Chamber of Jewelers Hüseyin Karteper and the President of Adana Chamber of Jewelers Oğuz Başman, who were not able to attend the meeting due to their schedule in Ankara have announced their support for the organizations in their messages.

The rendezvous in Gaziantep: 14-16th June 2019

The 15th Middle East Gold & Jewelry Fair will be held after Ramadan since the sector will pick up speed in the wedding season. The Turkish jewelry sector will come together for the second important meeting after İstanbul in the fair which will be held in the Middle East Fair Center on the 14-15-16th of June 2019. The participants of the fair will present their products and collections, specially selected for the 2019 wedding season, to domestic and foreign buyers.

Buyer Committees from Iraq and Syria to attend the Organization!

Start Fair Organization and Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers started their work with the purpose of bringing buyer committees to the fair from overseas, along with the domestic market. It is planned to bring buyer committees from Iraq and Syria to the fair, which is expected to bring movement to the entire domestic market, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions being in the first place. In this context, officials from Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers and Start Fair Organization will pay visits to the countries in question for foreign buyers in the upcoming months.

In his response to questions in the public meeting about the change of address, Start Organization Board Chairman Musa Öztürk stated that the Middle East Jewelry Fair is the most important meeting in Turkey following İstanbul and added: ‘Every city in our country is valuable and treasured by us to the utmost degree. Adana, Kahramanmaraş, and Gaziantep have significant potential and synergy in the sector. For the success of the fair, first, it is essential for the tradesmen in the region to embrace the organization. May the Middle East Gold & Jewelry Fair bring good luck for Gaziantep and the whole sector. We owe a debt of gratitude to the presidents of the chambers who are here to support us and the presidents of the chambers and associations who could not be here because of their other appointments; however, who had demonstrated their generosity by offering their support. President of Gaziantep Chamber of Jewelers, Sedat Özdinç who have expressed his contentment about the relocation of the fair to Gaziantep stated that Gaziantep will ensure the success of the fair through the transportation and accommodation services, the potential for commerce and industry, and the high synergy in jewelry retail, and will also support the Middle East Jewelry Fair on its way to developing an international identity due the proximity of the city to Middle Eastern Countries. Özdinç expressed that‘We will strive for the success of the fair in every aspect, together with Start Fair Organization. We will bring buyer committees not only from the domestic market but also from Iraq and Syria. Emphasizing that they have embraced and supported the fair from day one, while the President of Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Jewelers Hacı Mustafa Öz expressed his opinion, stating that ‘We will expand the organization together, as the tradesmen and all of the establishments representing the sector.
